Weekend is right around the corner, OH YEAH!!

Well, thank God this week is almost over. I've been just TERRIBLE with my eating this week. I'm not sure what's going on but I don't like it! I start out really well, my first 3 meals are perfect and then BAM! I'm craving EVERYTHING in site. It's just pissing me off more than anything! One of the nurses is attending what she so eloquently calls "fat class." Its some type of weight watchers/jenny craig type programs. Anyway, I *just* told her that morning how I crave peanut butter and chocolate! That I'm an addict and I don't understand it. I mean I ate a whole freaking jar of peanut butter between Sunday and Monday. I'm sorry, but thats just not right! Anyway, she comes back to work the next day and tells me about her "fat class." The lady who is educating her (I"m not sure if shes a nutritionist or what) told her that the 2 most common things people crave and binge on are: yup, you guessed it, PB and chocolate! Oh so, I'm normal after all! Well, in that regards I am. This lady goes on to tell her that they have some "pill" that helps with these cravings and binges. Get this, its like a glucose tablet. I guess they think that your blood sugar dips down below normal and thats when you get those binge cravings.

So, I put this theory to the test. Yesterday, about 1 1/2 hours after lunch, I was ready to eat some chocolate! I mean it was out in front of me, staring me in the face and I was just about ready to.....when I remembered this blood sugar theory. I reached into the drawer and pulled out a glucometer and tested my blood sugar. It was 74. For those of you who aren't sure about blood sugar ranges, 70-110 is normal for a FASTING state. To be 74 only 1 1/2 hours after eating is a bit low. So, I had a myoplex lite shake early. I didn't eat the chocolate. Does that prove anything? No, not yet, but I do plan on checking my blood sugars during those times and seeing how it correlates. I thought this was quite interesting.

Moving on. Today my refrigerator was delivered. Again, can I say THANK GOD! I was starting to get pissed off because by 2pm, no one had called me about the delivery. I got on the phone and called Lowes and the gal read me my home phone number. I *specifically* gave my cell number because DUH, single people have to work and can't stay home to wait on deliveries. Anyway, so the guy gets on the phone and says "yeah well I tried to call you this morning. The computer showed we had 2 of those fridges in stock, but we really only had one. Sorry. How's next week?" ERrrrrrm, NEXT WEEK??? My freaking food will be spoiled by then, thats how that is. So, he goes on to say they have a floor model and he'll be able to give me a 10% discount if I want it or if I just want to take it and then swap it out when the new not floor model one gets here. THe only thing about the floor model one, it has a scratch on the bottom left side panel. So I'm like whatever, just bring the damned fridge and if I need to swap it out I will. So, the fridge FINALLY gets here and its just fine. Its not even a scratch but like a small dented line or something and you cant even see it. So, I'll just take my 10% off thank you very much! At least it works!!!

That would really suck if they didn't have one available at all! Whew! Glad that worked out for you! I'm still curious about the glucose tablet, let me know when you hear from your friend. This may be just what I need. I'm glad I'm not the only one with serious pb & chocolate issues. What can I say...misery loves company. LOL
