OK, so it's been nearly a week since I posted. I hated to post after I put up those pictures!! This week has been near flawless. My eating...dead on. My workouts have been great. I'm drinking all my water and walking 4 miles nearly every single evening!! And then, I wait...
I am waiting on the big changes to hit this time. I keep looking to see if maybe my delts are sticking out further, or maybe my legs are a bit leaner. So far, it all looks the same to me. It doesn't seem that my legs are getting any leaner at all, but I still keep plugging at it. It will happen...I know it will!!
I say this all the time, but it's worth repeating: Thank you to everyone who has been motivating me, inspiring me and pushing me. It really means a lot to know people care even though they live far away!! You are all special friends and I value that friendship more than anything. Keep pushing yourselves, keep inspiring, keep motivating!!! In the end, the results will amaze all of us...even me!!!
Remember, NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

Day 28 and 29
Well I made it through Sunday and I didn't cheat. I had a great week this past week. Today has been perfect also. I think I'm finally getting it down again. I took some pictures yesterday but was only able to get like 2 because, yep...you guessed it...the batteries died AGAIN!!! Well, I actually haven't picked up the camera but once in the past 4 weeks, so they probably just died from lack of use!! Anyway, I tried to post them here yesterday, but it wouldn't work.
All-in-all, I guess things are going okay. I still think my legs aren't getting better although others have said they are. I keep plugging away! Once I get my eating totals for today, I'll post. I did my UBWO this morning and then went for a 4 mile or so walk with the neighbor tonight. I'm liking the extra cardio part. I drove my car around to see how far that run actually was from Saturday, and it was exactly 5 miles. So, 52minutes is not too shabby for me. I'm feeling good about things at the moment and hope it continues to go smoothly!! Thanks for all your help!

Day 27--I think....
I wrote this on my Challenge Thread on the Blends site, but wanted to put it here also. If you read it there, sorry for the repeat:
Woke up super late today, as its the first Saturday that I didn't have anything planned except workout. So, got up at around 11am (yikes!) and put on my running gear and headed outside. I dont really know how far I went but I just kept going. I think I must have gone 5miles by the time I got home...time was nearly 52 minutes, so I'm sure it was somewhere near 5 miles, as I had to walk and run. I'll drive my car around later to see exactly. I was sweating and tired, and it felt GOOD!!!
I took yesterday basically as a free day. Eating wasn't bad but I ate more than I really wanted to eat. Stepped on the scales today and was down 3 lbs so go figure! I keep looking at myself and really don't see any changes even though I've finally gotten the eating under control again and hitting my workouts well. I'm not giving up, but getting discouraged about 'wasting' the last 4 weeks without any changes. How can I drop 5% in 8 weeks plus, gain muscle in my upper body? It gets discouraging because it's like I have 2 different things to do. I dont want to lose any weight, but still need to lose fat in my thighs and lower abs, but I need to put on some muscle in my shoulders and back so I dont look so small up top. I have listened to so many people as to what to do, I get confused. These are people that have done it, but everyone has done it differently. I dont want to spend another 4 weeks doing it one way, then figure out, that didnt work for me, ya know?
I get my motivation and encouragement from people like Dana--who has overcome so much adversity and is really walking the talk...no matter what! People like Kevin--who had to totally uproot himself and move, give away his family (the puppies he loves so much) start a new job and a new life...and is still going strong! People like Casey and Lori--just continously upbeat and positive and always finding new ways to make themselves better even through some difficult challenges. Kate and Sean--who have 3 beautiful children, all autistic, and just loving life and pushing HARD to make their challenges great! Have you guys seen Scoobysnacks lately?? hubba hubba!! There's Jennifer (dreamcatcher) and Bobby.....there's Jen (1leanmom)...Suz2lose...Janel--who is literally pulling her hair out because of all her commitments and helping her hubby make it through a career change. I could just go on and on! All of these people have had some truly hard HARD times, and they are all doing it. Making every day count. They aren't giving up!!!!
My point of these ramblings: I've had a pretty easy life. Nothing 'bad' has really happened to me. I've not had to overcome anything, I have a really great job (ok so I fell off a treadmill and broke my ass, but that's nothing too terrible.) These people truly are the Champions in all of this and I am proud to call them my friends!! I'm proud to call ALL of you my friends and want all of us to succeed and get to our goals...BFL goals and general life goals. I am reminded of the mantra from my friend Wes Eugene:
"Just for today, I will eat clean. Just for today, I will work out. Just for today! Just for today, be a perfect Body-for-Lifer! Just for today, be an “A” student in Bill Phillip’s class!"
OK, so enough of all of this. I'll update totals later....

Day 24-- RIGHT ON!
OK, so can I get a shout out for 4 straight clean days in a row? Eating has been dead on. Workouts, pretty damned good. I did a different UBWO this morning, not sure if it really was enough, so may go back downstairs and do some other stuff. When I came home tonight, went for a 3.5mile walk outside with the neighbor. Wasn't as fast as I'd do it if I were by myself, but hey it burned some calories now didn't it? I'm feeling good. I still have some cravings, and almost ate a bite of a cookie today, but thought to myself "wtf are you doing?" I was in the process of walking to get some ice to make my shake. Now, why would I stop to eat a cookie? Just doesn't make sense?!?! So, I left it sitting there and just kept walking. YAY me!
Here are my totals through dinner, with still 1 meal left. I'll probably just have a protein shake or a coffeehouse RTD which would be about 110 more cals and 3g more of fat. That will put me perfectly in the numbers I wanted.
Total: 1528 cals
Fat: 28g
Carbs: 122g

Day 23 - Feeling YUCKY!!!
So, this morning I woke up at about 4AM with this severe sickening nauseated feeling and left upper abdominal pain and night sweats! I thought I was gonna hurl! Man, did I feel ill! SO I was actually up until about 6am, then needed to lay down for a bit. I got back up at 7am in time to eat and go to work. So, no HIIT this morning. I'm feeling somewhat better, no more pain but still slightly nauseated. I need to do some kind of cardio workout so will go for that quick 3 mile walk again in just a bit.
Eating has been 100% clean again, so 3 days in a row with no cheats. On my 3rd Liter of water, so won't be a problem to get the last 4th Liter in with dinner. I'm feeling pretty good about the eating part, but...but...it's been 3 days...where is my 4 pack? You mean after eating clean for 3 days, they don't just pop back out? Well, NO! I still see no hint of them and most likely wont for another few weeks, I'd imagine. Oh well. I'm really doing the best I can and thats about all I can ask for! If it's meant to be, my getting to 13-15%, it will be!
Ok, so went for my run/walk around 615pm. I tried to run the whole thing, but it wasn't happening, so I just split it up. Did the 3 miles in 28 minutes. Rest of eating day went well. Here are my totals:

Day 22 - Most Excellent..could I be back on track????
OK, so I'm hoping things are back on track. I've been slacking a little a few days a week for some unknown reason. Not sure if it was some serious PMS or not, but today, I'm hitting it 100%! Diet was 100% to plan, no little nips or cheats. Workout was great this morning. Did a LBWO a bit different than BFL style, hopefully in order to lean this stompers out a bit. Then before I ate dinner I went on what turned out to be a fast 3 mile walk: 37minutes! That's almost as good as my run the other day. I was just walking fast PLUS texting Dana at the same time, so I think that's pretty darned good.
Food total is as follows:
Total: 1387
Fat: 18g
Carbs: 134g
Protein: 166g
All-in-all, a pretty darned good day! Oh, I just finished drinking my 4th L of water, so all thats in line also. I hope this is a sign of things to come. I was all about ready to give up and start over. Things feel like they may be looking up!! GO ME!

Day 21
OK, so 3 weeks have come and gone and I'm nowhere closer to 15% than I was 3 weeks ago! Things are really sucking! Not sure what the problem is, thats for sure. The past 3 weeks of PMS surely hasn't helped, but finally, 17 days later, yep....I got my period. Perfect, since I had to do my 5K the next day! Just what I wanted! Well, at least I *HOPE* all the cravings and bloating will go away now!
Speaking of the 5k, Suz2lose came up from KC to do the Adel Sweet Corn Festival 5K run. My time was about 32 minutes so much slower than I wanted. But with the above mentioned PLUS the humidity of 94-96%, expecting a great run was basically impossible! But, we both finished, we didnt get hurt and we weren't last!!! So, all-in-all, it was a good run.
I'm soooo glad that the new forum is starting the 4 week mini Team Challenge tomorrow. I'm hoping that will help me kick it up a notch to do better! Its not the workouts that are suffering. My workouts have been kickass lately. It's just the not clean eating!! I KNOW I can do better...I KNOW IT! I just have to DO it!!! I was talking to Dana on the phone yesterday trying to get a handle on why I have been struggling so bad. I really want it....I swear, I really do!! I have absolutely no excuses at all. So, what the F*%& is wrong with me??? I keep plugging away but 3 weeks have gone already. Can I get done what I want in the next 9 weeks???? All I want is to lean my legs out and get to about 15% and maybe put on some more muscle in my shoulders and back. LOL I don't want much, now do I??? LOL
Anyway, enough bitching, moaning, griping, complaining....its time to do something and retake control!!!!

Day 18--9.9mph!!
Can you say FLYING?!?! I went to the gym this morning and didn't really feel like I was going to do well on my HIIT. I did a really great LBWO yesterday and my butt and thighs are sore!! So, when it actually came time to do it, I turned it on. My high point ended up being 9.9mph!!! I had to slow it down the last 10 seconds, so I didn't quite get the full 1 minute, but damn it was close! Did some Donna Szabo abs afterwards.
Eating was pretty good, for the most part. Went out to dinner unexpectedly but ended up having plain grilled chicken, steamed asparagus and mushrooms. I think the chicken actually had a small amount of oil on it, but it wasn't anything dramatic.
I feel pretty good about how things went this past week, although I really don't feel like I've seen any progress either! I keep plugging away and hoping something will suddenly start popping. I keep trying!!!
Suz2lose is driving up tomorrow so we can do the 5K Sweet Corn Festival Run on Saturday. She's been feeling a bit under-the-weather, so I hope she will be okay!! The weather looks okay at the moment. Please pray for low humidity and NO rain!!!
Well, thats about it. I'm really trying to work it out here. I feel a bit depressed about no changes, but I'm plugging along. I will NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Day 16
Well, today went as planned. I got up this morning and did my 20min HIIT with a high point of 9.8mph BUT I could only do it for 30 seconds, then I had to slow it back the last 30secs to 9.5mph. Oh well. Then I did some ab stuff.
Eating was fine. I think I ate a bit more carbs than I was meaning to, not sure really how that happened but still, not terrible! Here are my totals:
Total: 1661
Fat: 31g (17%)
Carbs: 164g (37%)
Protein: 189g (46%)
On to the next day.....

Day 15- Perfect
OK, so Monday was flawless. I ate what I planned to eat, I worked out and did what I planned to do. Everything went in check. I'm pleased with how I did, only I don't think I got my 4 L of water in like I normally do....I'll work on that today. Here are yesterday's totals:
Total: 1608 cals
Fat: 24g
Carbs: 146g
Protein: 202g
I'm not sure how the total proten was over 200g but I don't think that will really hurt me much since I'm trying to gain some muscle. What do you think??? I did eat more protein for lunch and more veggies and guess what??? No 2pm munchies!!
I think what might help me also is, I have a PA student rotating with me, as of yesterday, and it helps me stay more focused on things and not think about food. How does that make sense? Oh well, I'm not going to question it! I have her for a month and then I get 2 more (one each a month) so if that's all it takes, I'm golden to the end! LOL We'll see how it goes.
Workout yesterday was good. I did my UBWO, then between each body part I did a set 20 reps using 20 lb dumbbells of squats and then deadlifts. Man, I was sweating like a pig and man, did I stink!! haha But, it sure felt good. I'm not sore this morning at all though! *growl* See "My Workout Routine Page" to see exactly what I did, but it won't be posted until later today. I'll post more on the rest of Day 16 this evening....

Day 14- Free Day
Even though I screwed up on Thursday, I was invited to dinner at some friends and thought I'd use this as an opportunity to get my eating back on schedule. I ate very well all day and for dinner had some spaghetti, a salad and some cucumbers.
Now, its time to kick some ass. My stats did not change this past week. I gained like 1 lb and my body fat % went up like 0.4%, but am still waiting on the dreaded TOM (sorry Casey) so I'm not worried about that. This week, I will own this challenge. I will NOT cheat. I WILL NOT STRAY! Only strict CLEAN eating, NO MATTER WHAT!!!
I was talking to Lori today and I decided to add in some extra leg workouts throughout the week, especially on those weeks that usually only has 1 LBWO scheduled. Heres what I plan on doing:
On UBWO tomorrow, I will do my regularly scheduled workout, but will add 5 sets of squats and 5 sets of deadlifts. Then on Wednesday, I will do LBWO that entail Leg Extensions and Lunges, all BFL style. I'm hoping by adding in extra leg stuff, I will notice a bigger difference in the tone of my legs. I also will add in ab/adductor exercises for inner thighs.
My main problem is my eating. I think I'm really not eating enough for lunch so will change from eating a smaller portion of chicken and 1/2 cup brown rice to a regular whole boneless chicken breast and 3/4 cup of brown rice with my veggies. I hope that extra protein and a bit more rice will help me get through the 2pm cravings that I still have haunting me.
I will do this. 10 weeks to drop about 5-6%, that is extremely doable!!! This will come to pass, I promise you!
PS: And Jen (1leanmom) if you are reading this, I got your email---GAME ON!!!!!!!

Day 13
OK, so it went fine today. I got up and did my cardio. No record high point today, only 8.0 + 1 incline. But, I sweat like a pig so I guess it's all good. I did some ab stuff afterwards and then did 2 light sets of leg extensions and 2 sets of ab/adductor for inner thighs. Eating was okay. Carbs kind of snuck up on me but not sure how that happened. Oh well. Nothing exciting to report at the moment. I'll weigh in and remeasure tomorrow but don't think I will have much change. I'll probably weigh more tomorrow than last week but I am not going to worry about it. My mantra for today "Progress, not perfection!" I have to keep that in mind.

Day 11 SUCKED/Day 12 much better!
OK, so I suck! Yesterday, I had a feeding frenzy. I started out by falling back asleep and not getting my cardio in first thing in the morning. Breakfast was my normal eggwhite omlette and oatmeal and the rest, well, lets just say we are calling Thursday my free day! I can't believe how much CRAP I ate, especially chocolate! Funny, I think this happened last Thursday also!!! So the past 2 Thursdays have been free day. I tried going to the gym after work and could only do about 10 minutes of my HIIT because my stomach hurt so bad from eating all that food!!!
Today, I've already done my LBWO and ate breakfast. SO, I hope I am well on the way to being back on a normal BFL diet. Thank God today is my 1/2 day and I can leave before I see food.
Still waiting on TOM (who happens to be about 1.5 weeks late at the moment) and I think that has something to do with my cravings! I know talking about periods and constipation and all that stuff is quite strange, but its facts of life. My period has always been every 28 days from the day I started (I was 13.) If I counted out 28 days and that ended up on a Tuesday, you could put money on the fact I'd start on Tuesday. It's always been so regular, even when I lost all the weight the first time and got down to 19.5%BF. So, since about April, I can't figure out what the hell is going on. It's been about 1 week later every month. I'm on day 37 and the present. Now, one would think that my bf% isn't THAT low that my period would get thrown off. I'm not running hardly at all, where even through all my marathon training, I never skipped a day. It's all very strange and I don't like it!!! Maybe I'm going through early menopause, although I have no other symptoms.
OK, time for work, I'll come back later and finish how the rest of the day went....
So, here it is, middle of the afternoon. I've done really well today as far as eating. I'm still so stinking bloated from all the crap I ate yesterday and I'm almost sure I've gaine 10 lbs since last Sunday! I just have to get it together and push harder. The trainer I met with once before to discuss helping with my legs keeps bothering me asking "when are you going to start working?" I keep putting her off because I just really don't know if I can afford it and I'm not really sure if she would kill me. LOL Lori's trainer sounds like he'd kill me and I don't think I could handle that. The biggest thing is I don't want her screwing with my program so much that I cant DO my program. I did tell her if I would work with her it would be like 2 days a week only, so that could get my legs in could shape I think. Next week I'm going back into the gym to start doing my harder LBWO that I started to do before I feel.
Anyway, eating today so far would be rated 98% (only cos I'm a bit behind) and workout this morning was about 90% (only cos I know I could have gone harder but I only have up to 30lb dumbbells in the garage.) All-in-all, a much better day than the last 2. Lets just hope this big round belly is gone by Sunday!

Day 10
Was doing quite well until I came home from work. I even went back to the gym this afternoon to do some back stuff and walked on the treadmill for an extra 10 minutes. Came home to make dinner and to prepare meals for the rest of the week. MMmmmmm, that salmon sure was good. So, I ate 3 pieces!!! Yep, 3 salmon fillets! Now, granted, they are small and technically 2 of them are 1 serving, but typically I only eat 1 at a time but I put that Emeril's Fish Rub on them and I just couldn't stop eating!!! I guess it could have been much worse, at least I didn't do carbo overload! Check out the totals (obviously the increase in protein due to salmon overdose!) I felt soooo sick afterwards that I thought I'd puke!
Anyway, everything else going well. I'm really proud of myself in the fact that I've NOT stepped on the scales for 3 days!! I've been so stinking bloated the last several days that I just decided not to do it for fear of some severe disappointments.
Workouts going well.

Day 9 - 9.7mph!!!
Holy Smokies! My high point today was 9.7mph on the treadmill. And you know what?? It really wasnt that bad! I almost had to stop because while I was running I hit the wire from my mp3 player and it flung off behind me. My hand touched the railing to make sure I still had my footing, and I did, so I finished out the last 15 seconds. It was awesome!!!
The last few days have been great eating days. I'll post my totals here, then later will update todays totals.

I've really felt good about eating the last few days. I'm taking sugarfree jello and whenever I got that "Im really hungry" sensation at 2pm, I have been eating it. It's only 20 cals, 2 carbs and 2 proteins for 1/2 a box so I dont *think* its hurting anything. Much better than grabbing a chocolate bar, don't you think?
Anyway, more later.....
OK, so rest of the day went okay but not dead clean perfect. Overall, not terrible but the calories snuck up on me and I ate more carbs than I normally eat. But, I didn't eat the big huge chocolate cake in the back lounge, instead I ate...you guessed it....J-E-LL-O!

Cleaner day tomorrow and a hard UBWO on the way. BTW, please take note of a new blog at the top of my links lists, My Workout Routine. This is to help me keep up with my workouts and for comments from you guys to help me make my workouts better, harder, more intense. Feel free to chime right on in! Thanks!
