A new day...

Nothing really new to report today, although it has been a good day. I had 1 slip with a hershey's chocolate kiss (a rather large one) at about 2pm. I checked my blood sugar when I was having this horrid craving and it was, again, about 75. This was just 1 1/2 hours after eating lunch. I think, maybe, I'm not eating enough for lunch and I might need to up my portion size just for that meal. Maybe that will take care of things. Everyday, at exactly 2pm I start feeling this way. I'm posting my totals from yesterday and today. As you can see, the kiss certainly bumped my total fat grams up, but not in an overwhelming way. Maybe I need to add more fat in my diet. What do you guys think? I'm usually about 15-20g per day, but other people seem to think I should be eating more. How do *you* get your fats in?

Today May 2, 2006

I thought I was going to cave and dive head first into the chocolate tonight but I decided to come on here and check out what's going on. The picture of your abs is going to make me stay honest tonight. Thanks!

Honestly...I thought that you needed to bump your calories when you mentioned that you were intaking between 1150-1250. That range to me indicates that you are still trying to lose weight. You've indicated that you are content with your weight, so I think today's range is more on target for you. Try keeping your calories between 1500-1600 for maintenance. Your fat intake can be between 20-25% to maintain. This will not hurt you at all, especially since you are training for a 20K right now. See how you do with around 1500-1600 calories using the 20-40-40 ratio. And for your lunch. What kind of fruit are you having? I find that including a banana in my lunch curbs that sweet craving, and I don't get so sluggish.
