Days 4 and 5

The past 2 days have been just as good as the first 3 days. I'm really happy to report things are going well. I had difficulty getting out of bed this morning to get to the gym, but I went directly after I got off work at noon. Meals have been exactly as I've planned them and workouts good. I'm sore from yesterday's leg day, the first in the last 3 weeks. My workout partner had no mercy on me, making me do 4 sets of walking DB lunges. Man, my butt is super sore!!! Oh yeah!

Update on Oma:

Oma is out of surgery. She went in at about 11am and was finished around 2pm. My mom has called and spoken to her twice. The first time she was really not able to say very much at all. So, my mom called back about 2 hours ago and talked to her. She is awake, still groggy and hoarse from being intubated but apparently has already noticed a difference in her legs as far as the sensation is concerned. She said the Dr. told her it was a large tumor but he still thinks it is not malignant at this time, but will have to wait for the pathology report. She told my mom that the nurse was coming to help her pee and so my mom asked if they are using a bedpan and she said no, that she's already been up once on the bedside toilet. They tried to get her to walk to the bathroom, but it hurt her back too much. So, at this point, it sounds like she is doing pretty well. The first 24-48 hours after such surgeries are the most critical, so obviously she is not out of the woods yet. But, she made it through surgery! Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and lets pray the tumor is benign!

I keep plugging along and know if I keep it up this way, I'll be back into shape and even better than before in NO time!!!!
