I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and was able to spend it with family and/or friends. I had initially planned to just stay home. While I was at the gym yesterday morning, I got a message from a friend I've not seen since last Thanksgiving. I normally go to their house on all the holidays, if I'm in town, but since last year they've been crazy busy and so we kind of lost touch. I've called them a few times over the last year, but getting together never came about. I was beginning to think I had done something wrong. I sent her an email just saying Happy Thanksgiving, so she knew I was still thinking about them. She got the email and then called and left me a message asking me to come over for Thanksgiving, if I didn't have any other plans. So, I gave her a call, set on not going over. I didn't send the email to be invited over. I just wanted them to know I was thinking about them. So, I kept saying thank you but no thank you. I just got in from the gym, I was all sweaty and nasty and they were about to eat their meal in less than 20 minutes. (they live about 30 minutes away) She would NOT give up and would not let me off the phone until I agreed to take a quick shower and come over. And so, I did. Had a great time, as always. Really didn't eat that much (obviously more than I wanted but still), they made lots of things using splenda and low cal stuff, so that was nice, but I didn't drink any water and I did have a few glasses of wine. So, today its back on track.
Before I went to their house, as stated above, I had a date with the gym. Heres what I did:
I ran a mile when I first got there. Then I did a nice LBWO:
3 sets BB Squats (65, 85, 100 lbs)
3 sets BB Deadlifts (65, 85, 100 lbs)
4 sets walking weighted lunges (10 lbs each hand)
3 sets Smith Machine Narrow Squats-feet side by side and sit way back (on each side: 10, 20, 27.5)
Then I finished it off with my 30 minute hike at 12°varying speeds between 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 (317 calories, 1.68 miles)
Talk about sweating like crazy. Best LBWO I've had in ages. I'm starting to get sore in my glutes and thighs and a bit in my quads, so YAY!
I had to do a class at the hospital today so was up early for that. Meals were 100% today. I've had a massive headache all day (most likely due to consumption of wine and lack of water yesterday). I'll work tomorrow in the Quick Care from 9-1, then am off the rest of the weekend! On to next week. It will be back to 100%!
